Maze Typologies

The book explores how labyrinths have been used for play, ritual, education, ornament, and control across different historical and cultural contexts. Each chapter opens with a custom maze pattern printed on the left-hand page. These patterns are arranged in a sequence that moves gradually from the maze’s entrance to its center, mirroring the reader’s progression through the book. This structure positions the book as a navigational experience, where the maze operates as a guiding framework.
